A Vermont Building Tradition
Growing from a one-man crew at its founding, our team now includes a dedicated crew of professional carpenters. We maintain long-standing relationships with trusted subcontractors throughout Southern Vermont, allowing us to approach each project with consistency, collaboration, and attention to detail.
ERICH GUTBIER
President & Owner
Erich was born and raised in Manchester Village, Vermont, and grew up learning the value of hard work and discipline while working alongside his father and uncle in the family’s restaurant, The Harvest Inn. Using the tools he learned as a young man, Erich started his business in 1986 at the age of 21 while building his first house in Manchester.
Forty years later, Red Mountain Construction has completed projects throughout Southern Vermont, from Stratton Mountain to Wilmington, Dorset to Arlington. Erich prides himself on providing clients with honesty and transparency throughout the building process.
Founded by Erich Gutbier in the mid-1980s, Red Mountain Construction takes its name from the beauty of Red Mountain in Arlington, Vermont. For four decades, we have served clients throughout Southern Vermont with a hands-on, collaborative approach to residential construction and renovation.
We limit our schedule to two projects at any one time so our project managers are onsite throughout the building process.
JUSTIN ALBIN
Vice President
Justin grew up in Townsend, Vermont, and learned at a young age that he liked working in the building industry. As a teenager, he worked with Erich and the crew of Red Mountain Construction, learning all the skills needed to do fine quality work. He takes the most pride in creating personal connections with clients and fulfilling their dreams through the building process.
